For $5000, will this !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! turn you on? Is it gonna bring you the power? Is it gonna light up the dark of night like the brightest day in a whole new way?
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
There’s an extensive laundry list of work and improvements in the ad and it comes with a bunch of spare parts. The AC is broken and there is a little rust bubbling visible around the sunroof but the rest of it looks pretty damn clean and cared for. I give it a NP.

Looks pretty damn awesome. I was sold with dual spoilers.

There never is “just a little rust” around a sunroof. Once it gets visible like this there is much more once you (try to) open it.

Bitchin ride, but not for $5k.

Wow, I never really noticed the position of the hood scoop on these before.
Its off-center placement doesn’t really commit to asymmetrical styling like the DSM cars did a few years later. It’s close enough to the center of the hood to trigger an OCD-twitch...

That’s a heck of a nice price! I’d be on that like stink on shit if I weren’t trying for a house right now.

Ha! I went the other way. $5000 seems to be the average for a “driver” SVO.

Eh, maybe I’ve just lost track on the SVO market. That just seems a little (not by much, I’d definitely pay $4k) pricey for one in that shape. Not to mention, it’s the worst performing of the SVOs. If it were an ‘85.5 or an ‘86, it’d be a great price.

I’m sure there’s room to move on it. I’d hit him with $3800 and see where it goes. The 84 just needs a computer, intake and exhaust manifold swap and it’d be right with the 85/86. He’s probably beyond an 85/86 already with the Ranger roller cam and ported head.

The rust’d mean I would at 66% of that price or so.

No doubt there. That’d be a good starting point.
And, to be honest, I didn’t even read the full ad. Just glanced at the ad and pictures. Didn’t see that it had all those mods.

Someone did their homework on it. It would be a good start. Or leave it and AutoX the heck out of it.

That would actually be a riot to AutoX for that price.

For comparison’s sake, my SVO was only $4000 and was virtually rust-free with less miles. I’d have to go CP. Although it is becoming tougher to find a decent SVO nowadays... At the very least, you have to be willing to travel.
